Accounts Receivable - Client Billing

Location: Newport Beach, CA Onsite

Hours: 8 AM-5 PM

Type: Contract to hire

Pay: $40 an hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate, Accounts Receivable to join a growing Client Billing team. This role is responsible for calculating client fees, generating invoices, validating revenue data, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate and generate client invoices based on contractual fee schedules and billing requirements.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts and maintain billing-related account information.
  • Perform billing calculations, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Review data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and resolve issues through research and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain organized documentation supporting calculations and billing outputs.
  • Support monthly revenue reporting, accruals, and financial reporting activities.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Account Management, and other internal stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply sound judgment when navigating complex or non-standard billing scenarios.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Approximately 3+ years of corporate experience.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Financial Operations, or related field.
  • Strong Excel skills including:
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Pivot Tables
    • Formulas and calculations
    • Data filtering and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services, banking, asset management, or investment-related environments.
  • Exposure to SQL, Oracle, Alteryx, Python, AI tools, or automation technologies.
  • Experience participating in process improvement initiatives.
